Well, today is one of those days you wake up with no plans and in 15 minutes your day is BOOKED!
It's one of those days you realize you are out of coffee. Although you've known for a week you were running low and predicted this would be the day you'd run out. And by 10 a.m. you are going to have a headache.
It's the day your Dad drops off a HUGE bag of rhubarb because you called your Mom yesterday asking for some. By some, you meant 6 or 8 stalks. But, you get 40. Gotta love Moms!
It's the day you start making rhubarb muffins at 6:30 because that would be a nice morning treat for the girls. (And, the recipe only uses 6 of those 40 stalks.)
It's also the day you have 2 loaves of zucchini bread in the oven before 8:30, because the oven is hot.
It's the day your daughters gag when they bite into above mentioned muffins because you mentioned the word "rhubarb".
It turns out to be the day that after mixing up muffins and zucchini bread, your eldest asks to make oatmeal cookies. (What!?!)
Oh My! You just realize you ordered a bushel of green beans for today. And, there isn't a single freezer bag in the house!
It's the day you discover a pen in the freshly laundered darks. A leaking pen. Ughh!
It's the day your daughters decide they are wiped out from a busy week of VBS, Grammy, pool, and running here and there. And to let you know, they fight and scream from the second their feet hit the floor.
It's the day you wonder why you needed to worry so much! You know God has everything in control! Someday you might get that into your thick head.
It's a gorgeous day from the inside. The humidity outside has you running for cover!
And, guess what!?! Today is the day they are calling for severe storms to break this humidity! SEVERE STORMS! !!! YAY!!
And, it's only 9 a.m.
I love you. I will never write a blog post that says, "It's the day you are making muffins and bread at 6:30 in the morning." I've done nothing but enjoy my coffee and catch up on blogs and pinterest this morning. I need to attend the Mary School of Being a Proverbs 31 Woman. Be blessed today friend. You are fabulous. : )
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one who has to make more than one thing while the oven is on.
